Even people who dont own and sail on a regular basis get the urge to go to sea – and not on a cruise ship. While boating holidays arent the least expensive vacations around, they are appealing and many people like to try them once in their lives.

Water vacations are huge in range and in price. One of the most relaxing and pretty ways to see Europe is by barge. In England, the Netherlands, France and other countries, you can book passage on canal barges. They move slowly, are long and narrow and have wonderful accommodations. Others who are into sailing can go to almost any coastal part of the world and charter both large and small boats – with a crew or without – and go exploring.
